The Valparaiso University men’s and women’s track and field teams wrapped up the indoor portion of the schedule on Sunday with Day 3 of the Missouri Valley Conference Championships, hosted by UNI in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Emanuel Daggett (Chicago, Ill./ Gavit) recorded a top-5 finish to highlight the final day for the Brown & Gold.
The Valparaiso University track & field teams competed in the second day of the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa. TJ Weinzimmer (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North) recorded a fifth-place finish in the triple jump to account for Valpo’s highest finish of the day.
Senior Dominic Paoletti (Monroe, Mich./Monroe St. Mary) continued his strong season in distance events for the Valparaiso University track and field team on Friday, providing the highlight of the team’s opening day of competition at the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championships, hosted by the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The senior had the team’s highest individual finish on the day by placing third in the 5000-meter run, earning all-conference honors in the process.
The Valparaiso University track & field and cross country teams were in action this weekend, tuning up for their respective conference championships. Valpo received numerous standout performances on Saturday as the distance runners participated in the GVSU Big Meet hosted by Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich., while the remainder of the squad made its way to Terre Haute, Ind. for the Indiana State Invitational.
At long last, the Valparaiso University track & field teams embarked upon their first meet of the 2021 spring season on Saturday at the Snowdown Showdown, hosted by Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich. Valpo distance runners began their season last week with a trip to GVSU, while the remaining track & field student-athletes made their long-awaited season debuts on Saturday.
