15 Crusaders Score HL All-Academic Spring Honors
Fifteen student-athletes across five sports were recognized by the league office Wednesday. Men's golf led the way for Valpo with four representatives, while baseball, and men's and women's outdoor track and field each boasted three.

Henning, Magoline Post Second-Place Finish at WSGA Bestball Championship
Valparaiso graduated senior Kyle Henning and junior-to-be Jared Magoline teamed up at the 2014 Wisconsin State Golf Association (WSGA) Bestball Championship last weekend, turning in a second-place finish in a field of 111 pairings.

Henning Named an Academic All-District Honoree
Valparaiso men's golf senior Kyle Henning (Brookfield, Wis./East) was named a First Team Academic All-District V At Large honoree by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and is now up for Academic All-American consideration after the conclusion of a stellar career both on the links and in the classroom.

Henning, Webb Earn Postseason Accolades
As the Valparaiso men's golf team prepares to defend its Horizon League Championship crown this weekend, the Crusaders learned Thursday evening that two players had earned postseason awards from the league. Senior Kyle Henning (Brookfield, Wis./East) earned a spot on the All-Horizon League squad for a second straight season, while freshman Peter Webb (Madison, Wis./James Madison Memorial) became the first Crusader to be tabbed Horizon League Freshman of the Year.

The Valparaiso men’s golf team saw its opening round at the Wolfpack Spring Open in Raleigh, N.C. washed out on Saturday due to persistent rains in the Raleigh area. The Crusaders will tee it up on Sunday, as the event has been shortened to 18 holes.

Valpo Men's Golf Earns Third Straight Academic Honor From GCAA
The Valparaiso University men’s golf program has been named an All-Academic Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America for the third straight year, the GCAA announced this week. In addition, the Crusaders were honored with President’s Special Recognition status for the second consecutive year, as they were one of just 10 Division I programs to post a cumulative team GPA of 3.5 or higher.
