Women’s Soccer Set to Welcome Haitian National Team to Brown Field Saturday
For the first time in program history, the Valparaiso women’s soccer team will take on a national team, as the Crusaders close out the home portion of their 2014 spring schedule by welcoming Haiti to Brown Field for a 7 p.m. kickoff Saturday evening.

Registration Open for Crusader Women's Soccer Camps
Registration is open now for the Valpo Soccer Spring ID Camp, hosted by the Crusader women's soccer team on Sunday, March 30 for female players in grades 9-12. In addition, registration is also open for a trio of camps to be held June 16-18.

Crusaders' Season Comes to an End Tuesday
The Valparaiso women's soccer team saw its season come to a heartbreaking end on Tuesday afternoon in Detroit, Mich., as Detroit scored less than four minutes from the end of double overtime to send the Crusaders to a 1-0 defeat in opening-round play of the 2013 Horizon League Championship.

Manzke Named HL Freshman of the Year; Four Crusaders Honored
Freshman midfielder Morgan Manzke was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Year on Monday in voting by the league's head coaches, highlighting four Crusaders in all who were honored with league postseason honors. Junior midfielder Kelsey Draper and senior goalkeeper Kristen Manski both were Second Team All-Horizon League honorees, while Manzke was joined by April Cronin on the All-Freshman Team.

Valpo Women Set for First Round at Detroit

Another One-Goal Win For Crusader Women
If it feels like the movie Groundhog Day when the Valparaiso women's soccer team takes the field in 2013, there's a good reason why - for the sixth time in as many games this season on Sunday, the Crusaders battled their opponents to a 1-0 decision, and for the fourth time, it was Valpo which came out victorious, finding the back of the net on a header in the 20th minute from senior Hailey Chmela (Hawthorn Woods, Ill./Lake Zurich).

Crusaders Top Northwestern 1-0
Early pressure from the Crusaders set the tone for the remainder of the match Thursday night against the Northwestern Wildcats. That pressure eventually led to the lone goal scored in an impressive 1-0 victory for the Crusader women. Freshman Katriona Anesini (Seattle, Wash./Ballard) put Valpo ahead in the 33rd minute of the match and the Crusader defense ensured that the freshman's goal would be the game winner.

Late Goal Pushes Kent State Past Valpo
Coming off of a thrilling overtime victory that saw Valpo find the back of the net in the 94th minute, the Crusader women found themselves in a similar situation Sunday afternoon at Kent State. For the second straight game, the result would be decided with extra time. After battling back and forth for nearly 109 minutes, the Crusaders women would fall 1-0 to Kent State on a goal scored with just over a minute left in the match.
