Valpo Women’s Golf Leads at Home Versus Green Bay
The Valparaiso University women’s golf team hit the links at The Course at Aberdeen Friday for the team’s only home match of the spring season, where they are facing off with Horizon League foe Green Bay in a 54-hole dual match. The Crusaders finished the day 17 strokes clear of the Phoenix through 36 holes.

Crusader Women Continue Spring Campaign
The fickle spring weather forced the Valparaiso University women’s golf team to hit the road again this weekend, as the Crusaders competed Sunday at the Crusader/Jaguar Challenge. The tournament was originally slated to be contested at The Course at Aberdeen, but was moved to the Trophy Club in Lebanon, Ind. and shortened to an 18-hole event.

Crusader Women’s Golf Signs Curtis to NLI
Valparaiso University women’s golf head coach Mat Blair announced today that Tiffany Curtis, a senior at Crown Point H.S., signed a National Letter of Intent during the signing period and will be joining the Crusader program as a freshman for the 2016-17 season.

Crusader Women Finish Sixth at Evansville; Day Two Canceled
The Valparaiso University women’s golf team competed in its final tournament of the 2015 fall season on Monday at the Oak Meadow Country Club in Evansville, Ind. The Crusaders finished the tournament in sixth place with a score of 328, only ten strokes behind host and leader Evansville. The second 18 holes, scheduled to be contested on Tuesday, were canceled due to inclement weather.

Angie Kim Posts Career Weekend at Bucknell
Valparaiso University junior Angie Kim (Schaumburg, Ill./Fremd) closed out the weekend with the second-lowest 54-hole score in Valparaiso history on Sunday. Kim finished tied for fourth place, just five shots off the lead, at the Bucknell Women’s Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa. to lead the Crusaders this weekend.

Crusaders Tie For First, Kim Earns Top Honors at Chi-Town Classic
Hosting its first event at The Course at Aberdeen since April of 2014, the Valparaiso University women’s golf team earned a tie for first place in the 36-hole Chi-Town Classic on Sunday, finishing tied atop the leaderboard with UIC. Crusader junior Angie Kim (Schaumburg, Ill./Fremd) claimed the individual title by three shots.

Three Crusaders Earn WGCA Academic Honor
A trio of Valparaiso golfers – junior Sibil Gill (Kokomo, Ind./Western), graduated senior A.J. Selig (Hortonville, Wis./Appleton West) and freshman Katie Willenbrink (Mishawaka, Ind./Penn) - have been named All-American Scholars by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).
