Eidson Earns Summit League Academic All-League Honor
Valpo junior Derek Eidson (Ventura, Calif./Ventura) received postseason recognition from the Summit League on Monday as he was one of 16 swimmers named to the Men’s Swimming Academic All-League Team for their prowess both in the pool and in the classroom.

Valpo Men Post Pair of Record Swims to Close Summit League Championships
Valpo men’s swimming junior Dominic May (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) broke an individual program record for the third time in as many days and the Valpo men closed the Summit League Championships Saturday evening with a record swim in the 400 free relay, capping a meet which saw the team set seven program records.

May Wins 200 Free, Bennett Sets Program Record to Lead Valpo Men Friday at Summit Championships
For the first time since 2002, the Valpo men’s swimming team boasts a league champion swimmer, as junior Dominic May (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) touched the wall first with a record swim in the 200-free Friday at the Summit League Championships in West Fargo, N.D. Junior Billy Bennett (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) also broke a program record en route to All-League honors in the 100-breaststroke.

Valpo Men Break Plethora Of Records On Opening Day of Summit League Championships
The Valpo men’s swimming team kicked off day one of the Summit League Championships in Sioux Falls, S.D. on Thursday with three program-record swims. It started with a school-record swim in the 50-free preliminary round by junior Dominic May (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central), while the night session featured a pair of new program records in relay events.

Swimming Competes in Final Meet Before Conference Championships
The Valpo men’s and women’s swimming teams closed out the regular season Saturday at Southern Illinois, with the men competing in a dual meet against Eastern Illinois and the women competing in a tri-meet. Valpo’s effort was led by sophomore Gus Rytting (Houston, Texas/Lamar), who picked up a pair of event victories in the breaststroke events.

Valpo Swimming Competes in Final Regular-Season Road Meet
The Valparaiso University men’s and women’s swim teams competed in a tri-meet at Southern Illinois with Arkansas Little Rock on Friday. Valpo had an abundance of top-10 finishes with junior Dominic May (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) boasting the best individual showing with three top-five swims.

Valpo Men’s Swimming to Join MAC as Affiliate Member
Valparaiso University has reached an agreement with the Mid-American Conference (MAC) to become an affiliate conference member in men’s swimming, beginning with the 2021-22 academic year.

May Earns Second Weekly Award of the Season
Valpo men’s swimming junior Dominic May (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) has been named the Summit League Men’s Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season after some impressive swims last weekend in Valpo’s meet against Evansville.

May Earns Win as Swimming Returns to Action Saturday
The Valpo men’s and women’s swimming teams traveled to Indiana State Saturday to compete against the Sycamores and Evansville in their first meet since January 15. Valpo was led by junior Dominic May (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central), who collected an individual win in the 100 free.

Valpo Swimming Opens Spring 2021 Season; Women Defeat Rose-Hulman
The Valpo men’s and women’s swimming teams hosted Rose-Hulman Friday evening at Valparaiso High School in the season-opening meet. Sophomore Morgan Markley (Bluffton, Ind./Norwell) led the way, winning three individual events and anchoring a team relay win to lead the Brown and Gold women over the Fightin’ Engineers.

Swimming Announces Spring 2021 Schedule
The Valpo men’s and women’s swimming teams will kick off the spring 2021 schedule on Friday evening with a home meet against Rose-Hulman, the first of seven scheduled regular season meets as head coach Maggie Kroemer announced the team’s schedule today.

Valpo Places 14 on Summit League Honor Roll
The Valparaiso University athletic department was recognized with 14 members of the men’s swimming and men’s tennis programs earning places on the 2019-2020 Summit League Academic Honor Roll, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.
