The Valparaiso University football team will take on Marist on Saturday at noon at Brown Field as part of an action-packed homecoming weekend on Valpo’s campus.

The gameday buzz will begin early as the Community Tailgate Lot returns for all home football games in 2023. The lot opens three hours prior to kickoff – 9 a.m. this Saturday prior to the noon kick – and costs $10 per car.

Those who purchase entrance into the Community Tailgate Lot will have access to food trucks and bounce houses. Fans are welcome to bring their own tailgate setup, including food and beverages. Featured food trucks will include Chunky’s Tacos, G’s Dogs and Twisted Sugar. The lot will be located on the former hospital grounds, which are northwest of Brown Field. Vehicles will enter the lot from Monroe Street and exit on LaPorte Avenue. Payment will be cash only.

Game tickets are available for $10 per person. Children ages 10 and under are admitted free of charge and no ticket is required. A Valpo rally towel giveaway will take place at halftime. To purchase tickets, visit valpoathletics.com/tickets.

The 2003 Valpo football team will be recognized during the first media timeout of the second quarter to celebrate the 20^th anniversary of its Pioneer Football League championship.
