Three Valparaiso cross country student-athletes were awarded Horizon League Academic All-League honors as the league revealed the squads. Sophomore Claire Johnson (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) represented the Crusaders on the women’s side, while junior Joe Johnson (Darien, Ill./Downers Grove South) and senior Jordan Piaskowy (Crete, Ill./Illiana Christian) each earned the accolade on the men’s side.

One of the top runners ever at Valparaiso, Dennis Murray held seven school records on the oval during his career with the Crusaders, and, on Saturday, February 19 he will be inducted into the Valparaiso University Athletics Hall of Fame.
