Fans are invited to get their first glimpse of the 2007-2008 Valpo men’s and women’s basketball teams at Valpo Hoops Mania presented by Cardinal Bus, to be held Friday, October 5 at the Athletics-Recreation Center beginning at 9:30 p.m.  Admission to the event is free.

The annual preseason showcase of the basketball teams will kick off with the student 3-point contest.  Introductions of both teams will commence at 10 p.m.  Representatives from both teams will participate in a 3-point contest versus the winners of the student contest.  That will be followed by a slam dunk contest with members of the men’s team and scrimmages by both squads.

Prizes will be given away via a raffle throughout the evening.  Also, a special announcement will be made at the event concerning students.
