Crusaders to Make Six Broadcast Appearances During HL Campaign

The Valparaiso men’s basketball team will host a pair of home games live on ESPNU and also host an HLN Game of the Week this season, highlighting six total broadcasts of Crusader men’s basketball during the 2013-2014 Horizon League schedule.

The Crusaders kick off the league broadcast schedule on Thursday, Jan. 2 with their league opener at home against UIC, which will be broadcast live on at 7:05 p.m.  Eight days later, the rematch of the 2013 Horizon League Championship game will take place at the ARC, as Valpo will take on Wright State at 8 p.m. on ESPNU.

Valpo hosts the HLN Game of the Week on Saturday, Jan. 18 when Milwaukee comes to town for a 1 p.m. tipoff, a game which will be broadcast on regional sports networks across the Horizon League footprint.  On Wednesday, Jan. 29, the Crusaders host Green Bay at 7:05 p.m. on

Valpo and Detroit square off live on ESPNU at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7 from the ARC.  The Crusaders’ game at Wright State on Tuesday evening, Feb. 25 will be picked up by as well and is slated for a 6 p.m. CT (7 p.m. local) tipoff.  In addition, the Crusaders could possibly be on the HLN Game of the Week up to three more times, as the final three Saturdays of the regular season will have wildcard selections for the Game of the Week.

The Crusaders’ full 2013-2014 schedule will be released early next week.
