Joseph Signs Professional Contract With Nässjö Basket
Max Joseph becomes the 49th Crusader to join the professional basketball ranks in the last 25 years.

The Valparaiso University men’s basketball program continues to produce professional basketball players, year after year, and another Crusader alum has joined the professional ranks, as graduated senior Max Joseph (Montreal, Quebec/Vanier College) signed recently with Nässjö Basket of the Basketligan in Sweden – the nation’s top professional league.

Joseph appeared in 116 games for the Crusaders over his four-year career, finishing his time at Valpo with 501 points, 279 rebounds, 172 assists and 95 steals. A member of three Horizon League regular season title squads, Joseph helped lead Valpo to 97 victories in his four seasons. The Crusaders made three postseason trips in his four years at Valpo, including an NCAA Tournament berth in 2015 and a spot in the NIT title game in 2016.

With Joseph’s signing, Valpo has now produced 49 professional basketball players over the last 25 years. Joseph is the first former Crusader to ink his initial professional deal this offseason after Valpo placed three players in the pro ranks last offseason.
