Valparaiso University men’s golf senior Caleb VanArragon (Blaine, Minn. / Blaine) and sophomore Anthony Delisanti (Sanborn, N.Y. / Niagara Wheatfield) closed out the final round of the three-day, 54-hole NCAA Bath Regional on Wednesday at the par-71, 7090-yard Eagle Eye Golf Club in Bath, Mich.
Both players closed out the tournament with their best round of the week, as Delisanti stroked a 69 (-2) to finish the event at 218 (+5). He tied for 43rd in the 75-player field. VanArragon turned in a 71 (E) to round out his 54-hole score of 221 (+8, 59th).
VanArragon drained 10 birdies for the tournament, while Delisanti notched seven. VanArragon finished the event with a 4.44 (-5) scoring average on par-5 holes.
The Valpo men’s golf season is not done yet as the team’s campaign continues with the National Golf Invitational (NGI) beginning on Friday at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz.
