Oleck Receives Mid-Con Accolades
Monday, October 10, 2005
Goalkeeper Jeff Oleck (Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Defensive Player of the Week after tying Valpo's career shutouts record against Oakland.

Oleck now has 12 shutouts for his career, matching the record previously held by Aaron Rhame. He has also recorded shutouts in each of the last three matches, the first time since 1987 the Crusaders have held opponents scoreless over a three-game span.

Against Oakland, Oleck was tested early and often, as the Grizzlies fired 20 shots in the match. He was up to the task, recording nine saves to secure the 1-0 victory for the Crusaders. This is the fourth time in his career Oleck has received Player of the Week honors.
