The Valparaiso University track & field program, led by Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Vincent Walker, has released the 2023-24 indoor schedule, which will culminate with Valpo cohosting the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships for the third consecutive year.

The indoor slate begins with a pair of December meets as the Beacons make their way to Illinois State’s Redbird Challenge (Dec. 1-2) in Normal, Ill. before participating in the Edmonds-Wilt Invitational hosted by Purdue on Dec. 9 in West Lafayette, Ind.

The first meet of the calendar year 2024 will be hosted by Grand Valley State as Valpo participates in the GVSU Mike Lints Alumni Meet in Allendale, Mich. on Jan. 20. That will mark the first of two trips to Allendale as Valpo is also entered in the GVSU Big Meet, which will take place on Feb. 9-10. The Beacons will return to DePaul’s Blue Demon Alumni Classic in Chicago (Jan. 26-27) and Notre Dame’s Meyo Invitational (Feb. 2-3) this winter as well.

Valpo will co-host the MVC Indoor Championships with UIC at Gately Park in Chicago again this season. The competition will take place on Feb. 25-26. Valpo will look to carry over the momentum generated during the cross-country campaign after finishing the year with three runners ahead of the previous program record in the men’s 10K at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional.
