Valpo Volleyball Signs One for 2003

Wednesday, November 13, 2002

Valparaiso University head volleyball coach Carin Avery has announced the signing of Jessie Fox to a National Letter of Intent for the 2003 season.

Fox, a two-time All-State selection in Indiana, led Penn High School to a runner-up finish in class 4A at the Indiana State Tournament in 2002. The Granger, Ind. native has also been named to the Northern Indiana Conference First Team each of the last two seasons.

The 6'0" middle blocker helped lead Penn to a 133-17 record over her four seasons.

?Fox is a quiet, but dominating player that has a great deal of potential," Avery said. ?She is a smart, powerful hitter, with lots of athleticism and blocks really well."
