Fifth-year middle Peyton McCarthy (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) represented the Valpo volleyball team on the Missouri Valley Conference All-Tournament Team as the conference unveiled the squad following the tournament’s conclusion Saturday.

McCarthy paced Valpo in kills in its tournament-opening win over Evansville on Thursday, hitting .303 with 14 kills in the victory over the Purple Aces. In Friday’s battle with Loyola, McCarthy again reached double figures in kills with 10 and led the Beacons with six blocks, along the way moving into second place in program history in career blocks.

For McCarthy, it marks her sixth career All-Tournament Team honor and is the first time she has been named to the MVC All-Tournament Team.
