Volleyball Announces Addition of Kendal Ramey

The Valpo volleyball program is adding another incoming freshman for the 2023 campaign, as defensive specialist Kendal Ramey will join the Beacons next fall.

Ramey joins a trio of previously announced incoming freshmen for next season to give the Beacons four incoming rookies.

Kendal Ramey – 5’7” – Defensive Specialist – Western Boone [Ind.] H.S. – Boiler Juniors

Ramey has earned All-Conference honors and been named an AVCA Phenom during her prep career. She has been a part of some successful squads at Western Boone, most notably helping the Stars finish as class 2A state runners-up in 2021. Ramey has been a part of three conference champions, two sectional and regional title teams and semi-state champions in 2021. Also a standout in the classroom, Ramey received the IVCA Academic All-State – Gold Award this year and plans on studying in Valpo’s physician’s assistant program.

Ramey on why she chose Valpo: “I chose Valpo because of the strong academic reputation, the university size, and the outstanding volleyball program that has been developed! The coaching staff and team made Valpo feel like home.”
