Lindley Martin Joins Valpo Volleyball Program

Valpo volleyball head coach Carin Avery announced today that Lindley Martin, a 5’6” defensive specialist from North Judson, Ind., has signed to join the Beacons as a freshman for the fall of 2024.

“We are excited to bring another local product to our program,” Avery said. “We wanted to bring players in this class that are proven winners, and Lindley fits into that mold. She has excellent ball control and is another high-IQ player who will fit well into our system.”

Martin comes to Valpo after a prolific all-around prep career at North Judson-San Pierre H.S. Martin reached 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs as a senior for the Blue Jays. A two-time All-District and two-time All-Conference honoree, she was twice named team Defensive MVP and helped her teams to two sectional championships. She plays her club volleyball for KeAloha Volleyball Club.

Martin led the HNAC in kills as a senior, ranking 19th state-wide across all classes, after placing second in the HNAC and among the top-25 in Indiana as a junior. She also led the HNAC in aces and ranked sixth in digs as a senior, following a junior season where she ranked second in aces and fourth in digs in the conference.

Martin’s addition gives Valpo seven incoming freshmen for the 2024 campaign, as she joins Kadence Brumitt, Drew Glaser, Jordyn Gove, Ava Helming, Mia Liberti and Lilly Merk.
