Cliff Glover

POSITION Assistant Coach

Cliff Glover begins his third season as an assistant coach for the Crusaders after joining the staff in 2008.  This season he will move to the offensive side of the line of scrimmage, assisting with the running backs.

In 2009, Glover helped coach the linebackers as well as worked with special teams.

In his first season at Valpo, Glover was a defensive assistant that helped the 11th ranked pass defense in the country.  The Crusaders also led the Pioneer Football League with 17 interceptions.

Glover arrived at Valparaiso after serving as an assistant coach at Lake Station High School in Indiana for three seasons, where he helped coach the defensive backs.  Glover also was an assistant coach for four years at Warren Central High School, where he helped guide the Warriors to Indiana state titles in both 2003 and 2004.

Glover served as the head coach of the United State Army 8-man tackle football team from 1988 to 1990 and was the defensive coordinator for U.S. Army High School in Heidelberg, Germany, from 1985 to 1987.

A member of the United States Army from 1984 to 1992, Glover served time in Operation Desert Shield/Storm.  He attended Embry Riddle University.

Glover and his wife, Tina, have six children and one grandchild.
