Crusaders Head to Mid-Con Tourney 27-4 after Downing Central Michigan

Valparaiso wrapped up its regular season on Saturday evening with a 30-24, 30-22, 30-22 victory over Central Michigan in Mount Pleasant, Mich.

The Crusaders head to the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament 27-4 overall and 14-0 in conference play. Valpo has won seven in a row and 21 of its last 22.

Lauren Moulton led Valpo with 12 kills and a .400 hitting percentage while adding three blocks. Amy Palash had 12 kills and 14 digs for the Brown and Gold, while Jessie Fox had ten kills and hit .412. Katie Bova had 43 assists.

Sara Silcox had 18 digs, while Liz Mikos recorded five blocks.

Meghan Moore led Central Michigan with 17 kills while hitting .406. Defensively, Ali McCrite had 12 digs.

Valpo will head to the Mid-Con Tournament next Friday in Tulsa, Okla. The Crusaders semifinal opponent will be known on Sunday.
