Valparaiso University's Katie Boone (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove H.S.) was named the Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Week following the Crusaders first weekend of action.

A member of the Women's Sports Foundation Classic All-Tournament, Boone averaged 13.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game over the two games. The junior shot 53.3% (8-of-15) from the floor, and was a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range.

Boone scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds in the opener against Oregon and added 12 points and four rebounds, three offensive, against Villanova.
