Valparaiso University's Tamra Braun (Savage, Minn./Prior Lake H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference women's Student-Athlete of the Month for February.

The sophomore center led Valpo to a 6-1 record for the month after averaging 15.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game while shooting 58.9% from the floor. She had a career-best 27 points at Chicago State to go along with nine rebounds and four blocks against the Cougars. Braun also tallied double-doubles against both Southern Utah and Western Illinois in February.
