Dominique Doseck Promoted to Assistant Coach

Valpo women’s basketball head coach Mary Evans announced today that Dominique Doseck has been promoted to assistant coach heading into the 2022-23 season. Doseck is entering her fourth season on staff with the Valpo program.

“I am really excited for Dom to have the opportunity to be an assistant coach within our program” Evans said. “She has been working inside our program over the last three years and has a great understanding of how our program runs on a day-to-day basis. She has a tremendous knowledge of our basketball system, both offensively and defensively, after playing in it throughout her college career. She understands what our current student-athletes are going through and will be a valuable resource for them as they navigate balancing being a student-athlete and a successful student. I am excited to watch her grow as a basketball coach and know she has a tremendous future in our game.”

Doseck came to Valpo prior to the 2019-20 season as a graduate assistant. After two seasons in that role, she moved up to the program’s director of basketball operations for the 2021-22 campaign. In her first season on campus, Valpo boasted its best overall record since the 2006-07 season, while the Beacons have posted their best record in conference play since the 2008-09 season twice in the last three seasons.

“I am super excited to take this next step in my career and even more excited to do it here at Valpo,” Doseck said. “I couldn't be more grateful for Coach Evans trusting and believing in me for this new role. I truly believe that the staff and players here are building something special and I am really thrilled to be a part of it.”

Doseck was a four-year letterwinner at Ohio and was part of a squad which won 30 games and advanced to the quarterfinals of the WNIT as a senior in 2018-19. That season, Doseck started all 36 games, averaged 10.0 points/game and ranked second in the MAC and 50th nationally in 3-point percentage. A three-time Academic All-MAC honoree, Doseck played in 136 games over her four-year career and started all 31 games her junior year as well. Evans was an assistant coach for the Bobcats for the first three years of Doseck’s playing career.

Doseck graduated from Ohio University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in sports management and business analytics. She earned a master’s in sports administration from Valparaiso University in 2021.
