Valparaiso University head women’s soccer coach John Marovich has announced the addition of Mia Moody to the Crusader coaching staff for this fall as an assistant coach.
Moody arrives at Valpo after playing two seasons with IUPUI, where she scored four goals and added an assist during her career. She began her career at the University of Texas before transferring to the Jaguars program in 2004. Moody earned Academic All Mid-Continent Conference Team honors while with IUPUI.
She has gained coaching experience as an assistant coach at Roncalli High School during the 2007-2008 season as well as working with the Dynamo Club since 2005.
“I am extremely pleased that Mia has decided to join Coach (Heather) Clark and myself in assisting us in leading our women's soccer program to the many lofty goals we have,” said Marovich. “She brings a great deal of energy, knowledge and passion along with her experiences as a collegiate player and youth club coach will make her an effect assistant in our program.”
Moody is a 2007 graduate of IUPUI with a concentration in social and behavioral science.
