The Valparaiso University men’s and women’s track and field teams wrapped up the indoor portion of the schedule on Sunday with Day 3 of the Missouri Valley Conference Championships, hosted by UNI in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Emanuel Daggett (Chicago, Ill./ Gavit) recorded a top-5 finish to highlight the final day for the Brown & Gold.

How It Happened

• Daggett, a fifth-year senior, competed in the 400-meter dash, crossing the finish line at 49.29 to place fourth overall in the event.
• Daggett also competed in the 4x400 relay along with teammates Jared Humphrey (Hobart, Ind./Andrean), Lukas Sepulveda (Camano Island, Wash./Stanwood) and Joey Black (O’Fallon, Ill./O’Fallon). The group posted a 3:30.13 time and finished ninth overall.
• Will Maidment (Woodstock, Ill./Woodstock) concluded Valpo’s day with an eighth-place finish in the high jump by reaching a height of 1.91m (6-3.25).
