Three Beacons Crack All-Time Top 5 at GVSU

The Valparaiso University men’s and women’s track & field teams had a busy day of competition at the GVSU Big Meet, hosted by Grand Valley State in Allendale, Mich. on Saturday. Three Beacons cracked the program’s all-time top five in their respective events.

How It Happened

  • In the women’s weight throw, Tori Gerhardt (Westville, Ind. / Chesterton) finished third in a 45-athlete field, unleashing a mark of 16.67 meters (54-8.25). She cracked the program’s all-time top five, outdoing Michelle Pierce’s 2021 mark of 54-4.75 for fourth.
