2023: Started all 11 games... Recorded 29 tackles including 11 solos, 2.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks... Had one QB hurry... Blocked a PAT try to send the Sept. 23 game vs. Marist to overtime... Totaled a season-high six stops in the Sept. 23 game against the Red Foxes... Earned Academic All-PFL First Team status... Named the team’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year... Earned CSC Academic All-District... Named to the Phil Steele All-PFL Third Team.

2022: Named to the Academic All-PFL First Team, CSC Academic All-District Team and was the team’s Scholar-Athlete Award winner... Played in all 12 games, totaling 46 tackles (12 solos), a sack, eight QB hurries, three pass breakups and one blocked kick... Had seven tackles including 1.5 TFL in the season opener vs. Indiana Wesleyan... Accrued a season-high 10 tackles on Sept. 24 vs. San Diego... Blocked an extra point on Oct. 15 vs. Butler.

Fall 2021: Named the team’s Most-Improved Player... Earned Academic All-PFL First Team status... Played in all 11 games and made 32 tackles, half of which were solos, while recording 3.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, a team-high five QB hurries and one blocked kick... Also returned four kicks for 47 yards... Made a season-high seven tackles in the Sept. 4 season opener at Indiana Wesleyan... Blocked a PAT in the Nov. 20 season finale vs. Morehead State.

Spring 2021: Appeared in all six games… Made his collegiate debut in the March 13 season opener at Butler… Member of PFL Academic Honor Roll.

Prep: Three-year varsity letter winner… Won four varsity letters in baseball and two in powerlifting… Played baseball all four years and was on the basketball team as a freshman… Earned all-region (east) accolades at the defensive end position… Was a two-time all-county defensive end and two-time team defensive MVP award winner… Served as a team captain for two seasons in football and two seasons in baseball… Was a three-time Top STEM Student, earned all-academic team honors and was his school’s valedictorian.

Personal: Majoring in mechanical engineering… Son of Kelly and Mark Kessen… Has two sisters, Alexa and Brooke.
