2009 (Track and Field): Ran middle and long distance events for Valpo as a freshman ... posted Valpo’s second-best time indoors in the 800m run (2:05.97) ... also registered top times of 4:42.04 in the mile run and 9:10.63 in the 3,000m run during indoor season ... registered season-best times outdoors of 2:11.18 in the 800m run, 4:20.78 in the 1,500m run and 16:21.09 in the 5,000m run.

2008 (Cross Country): Sat out season as redshirt.

Prep: A three-year letterwinner for the Vikings ... helped Illiana Christian to four conference titles as well as multiple regional championships and a sectional title in 2007 ... also earned three letters in wrestling and track and field ... conference champion at 152 lbs. on the mat ... captain of wrestling squad as a senior ... finished in sixth place at sectional meet in mile run during track season.

Personal: Caleb is the son of Daniel Schmal and Glen and Belinda Wolke ... major is nursing ... born November 28, 1989.
