Valparaiso University's softball team is offering a hitting clinic on January 16, 2005 and a fielding clinic on January 23, 2005 at the Athletics-Recreation Center for girls in grades 4-12.

The clinics will run from 3-6 p.m., with registration beginning at 2 p.m.

The hitting clinic will concentrate on the proper fundamentals of the swing, inside/outside hitting, off-season drills, and strength training to help with the swing. The fielding clinic will be specific to position play (infield, outfield, and catching). It will also teach the proper throwing technique, work on speed and agility drills, and strength training that will help with lateral movement, balance, and body awareness.
