2007: Started all 46 games for the Crusaders as a junior in the third spot in the lineup ... earned First Team All Mid-Con accolades ... broke school record for hits in a season with 58 ... also ranked among Valpo's single-season top-five in batting average, runs scored, and RBIs ... led league with .391 batting average ... ranked second in hits, third in on-base percentage, and fifth in slugging percentage ... hit safely in 35 of 46 games, including 18 multi-hit outings ... scored multiple runs six times and drove in two or more runs on seven occasions ... closed season with a flurry, going 8-for-11 with three runs scored and five RBIs in final three-game set at Oakland ... named to Mid-Con All-Academic team ... a member of the Mid-Con Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence ... named an NFCA Scholar-Athlete ... named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District V Second Team.
2006: Started 51 games, including 48 behind the plate ... a Second Team All Mid-Con honoree ... 51 hits is third-most in a season in Valpo history ... 13 doubles ranks second in Crusader single-season history ... named team MVP ... also led Crusaders with a .321 batting average, ninth-best in the league ... tallied 14 multi-hit games, including four 3-hit games ... drove in three runs March 5 vs. Saint Peter's ... scored three runs March 6 vs. Yale ... went 3-for-4 with three RBIs April 28 at Western Illinois ... named to Mid-Con All-Academic team.
2005: Played in 48 games and made 45 starts, 36 at catcher, as a freshman ... named an NFCA Scholar Athlete ... had seven multi-hit games, third on the team ... went 2-for-2 with a stolen base March 9 at Wichita State ... drove in first career run March 25 at Centenary, going 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored as well ... went 2-for-3, scored a pair of runs and drove in another April 5 at Northern Illinois ... went 2-for-2 with a double and matched a career-high with two runs batted in April 15 against Southern Utah.
Prep: Did not play high school softball, but played summers with Brampton Blazers in the Provincial Women's Softball Association ... won Canadian National Championship in 2002 ... helped lead team to National Silver Medal in 2004 and 2005 and National Bronze Medal in 2007 ... Blazers won four Provincial Silver Medals (2002, 2003, 2004, 2007) ... was John Redmond High School's Female Graduating Athlete of the Year in 2004; her twin brother Tyler was the Male Graduating Athlete of the Year ... also played hockey, soccer, volleyball and basketball, and competed in track and field.
Personal: Shannon is the daughter of Danny and Anita Robinson ... majors are secondary education and physical education ... born November 26, 1986 ... a member of the 2006 Canadian Women's National Team.
