2010: Started all 56 games in center field for the Crusaders … earned Second Team All-Midwest Region honors from the NFCA … a First Team All-League honoree … set new Valpo single-season records for hits (69) and total bases (102) in a season … registered second-best marks in school history for batting average (.394), on-base percentage (.478) and tied for second in doubles (14) and triples (5) … scored 43 runs and drew 26 walks, both third-best in a single season in program history … 25 stolen bases rank fourth on the Crusader single-season charts … was caught stealing just five times ... through just two seasons, already ranks among Valpo’s career top-10s in batting average (.383, 1st), on-base percentage (.472, 1st), slugging percentage (.571, 2nd), stolen bases (53, 2nd), runs (89, 4th), doubles (28, 5th), walks (51, t-6th) and total bases (185, 10th) ... finished among Horizon League's top-10 in on-base percentage (2nd), triples (2nd), batting average (3rd), doubles (t-3rd), runs scored (4th), hits (5th), total bases (5th), stolen bases (5th), walks (7th) and slugging percentage (.583, 8th) … led Horizon League in league-only play in batting average (.446) and on-base percentage (.526) … ranked 35th in nation in triples, 53rd in batting average, 58th in stolen bases/game and 75th in on-base percentage ... posted 20 multi-hit games and scored multiple runs 11 times … stole two bases in six separate games ... went 3-for-3 with three runs scored, two RBIs and two stolen bases Feb. 28 versus Alabama A&M … drew three walks Mar. 2 against Holy Cross … drove in season-high three runs against Gardner-Webb Mar. 5 … had four straight two-hit games Mar. 9-13 … had another four-game multi-hit streak Mar. 27-31, including a 3-for-3 game in nightcap of doubleheader against Green Bay … went 4-for-7 with four runs scored in twinbill sweep of Northern Illinois Mar. 31 … posted 3-for-4, two runs scored effort in finale at Detroit Apr. 3 ... again registered three hits in opener Apr. 13 against IUPUI ... went 3-for-4 at #23 Notre Dame Apr. 21 ... put together eight-game hitting streak Apr. 24-May 8 ... had multiple hits in five of those games ... scored two runs in both ends of doubleheader Apr. 27 at Wright State ... went 4-for-5 with four runs scored in series finale against Youngstown State May 2 ... stole five bases in the Horizon League Championship, including two apiece against UIC and Green Bay in elimination games May 14 ... played for Northern Illinois Lightning 18-and-over team during the summer.
2009: Appeared in all 49 games for the Crusaders, making 48 starts as a freshman … named Horizon League Newcomer of the Year and was a member of the All-League First Team and All-Newcomer Team … demolished school record for runs in a single season, breaking previous mark of 33 in Valpo’s 35th game and closing season with 46 runs scored … finished season second in the Horizon League in runs scored, as well as on base percentage (.466), doubles (14) and stolen bases (28) … placed third in the league in walks (25) and fourth in batting average (.369) … moved into second on Valpo’s all-time single season charts in OBP and doubles, and third in batting average, hits (55), walks and stolen bases … also picked up 83 total bases, tied for fourth in a single year in Valpo history … already sixth in Crusader career record book for stolen bases … finished year 24th nationally in stolen bases/game, 26th in runs/game and 44th in doubles/game … performed even better in Horizon League play, posting a batting line of .380/.457/.648, all of which ranked seventh in the league … finished league-only action second in the league in runs scored (20) and doubles (8), fourth in total bases (46) and tied for fourth in hits (27) … had 15 multi-hit games and scored multiple runs 15 times on the year … also recorded multiple stolen bases in five outings … had a season-long 11-game hitting streak March 9-22 … reached base 20 straight games March 9-April 4 … had a rare 0-for-0 day with three runs scored and a RBI March 9 against Bryant, thanks to three walks, a sacrifice and three stolen bases … tallied three hits and three steals March 11 vs. Robert Morris … went 3-for-3 with three runs scored, three RBIs and first career home run March 25 at Northern Illinois … also drove in three runs and had a homer next time out April 1 against Wright State … tallied three hits in Valpo’s 15-inning win at Loyola April 4 … had 6-for-10 day with eight runs scored, two RBIs and four extra-base hits in tripleheader sweep at Youngstown State April 11 … scored four runs in opener against the Penguins, most by a single player in an HL game on the season … was hitting over .400 as late as April 16 … reached base six times and scored four runs in the Crusaders’ three HL Championship games … played summer ball for the Arizona Outlaws, which took fifth place at the TCS Nationals.
Prep: A four-year letterwinner for the Huskies ... a four-time All-Region selection ... earned First Team All-State honors as a junior ... received Second Team All-State accolades three times as well ... team captain as a senior ... named to the 5A North Senior All-Star Team ... played for prestigious AZ Hotshots Gold ASA squad ... AZ Hotshots Gold won each of its five games at 2008 ASA 18U Gold national tournament en route to a top-five finish ... also played soccer and volleyball.
