The Valpo bowling team brought the regular season to a close on Sunday with the final day of action of the Vanderbilt Music City Classic, finishing in 24th place.
How It Happened
- Valpo opened Sunday’s action, bracket play contested in the best-of-seven baker format, versus Kentucky Wesleyan. The Beacons and the Panthers traded wins in the first four games before KWU won back-to-back games to close out a 4-2 win.
- The loss dropped Valpo into a matchup with Wright State, which the Beacons dropped 4-0.
- Valpo closed out the weekend against Marian. After splitting the first two games, Marian won each of the next three for a 4-1 final.
Valpo (44-60) heads to the 2023 Southland Bowling League Championship next weekend in Rowlett, Texas. Tournament action begins on Friday, March 24.
