The Valpo bowling team jumped three spots to #17 nationally as the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) released its final top-25 poll of the regular season Thursday.

The Beacons have competed just once since the NTCA released its previous poll in February. Valpo posted winning records on all three days of action at the Flyer Classic in mid-February and finished the tournament with an 8-5 record. Valpo owns a 47-29 overall record on the year, on pace to finish with the second-best winning percentage in a season in program history.

The #17 ranking is the program’s highest placement in the NTCA poll since coming in at #17 in the February 2016 poll.

Valpo caps the regular season next weekend at the Vanderbilt Music City Classic before competing at the CUSA Championship the following weekend.
