One of the most accomplished swimmers ever to take to the
water at Valparaiso
University, Tim Weidner
holds five school records, including three individual events.
A two-time First Team All Mid-Continent
Conference selection, Weidner holds the school’s top mark in the 50 and 100
freestyle, along with the 100 breaststroke.
A member of the school record-holding 200 freestyle and 200 medley
relays as well, he also was a part of three other relay records upon graduation
from Valpo.
Weidner was a three-time
CoSIDA Academic All-District V selection and was named the Mid-Con’s Male Scholar-Athlete
of the Year his senior season. A
two-time team captain, Weidner also was named Valpo’s Student-Athlete of the
Year for 2000-2001 and was named the team’s Most Valuable Swimmer all four
years he competed for the Brown and Gold.
Weidner has become a licensed professional engineer and has been a
senior project civil engineer at Engineering Enterprises, Inc. in Sugar Grove, Ill.
