Laura (Rolf) Krupar was one of the top distance runners in Crusader history, competing for Valpo from 2005 through 2009. 

Krupar earned her top accolade indoors on the track, as she was named an All-American after finishing tenth in the one mile run at the 2007 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.  She won the 3,000m run at the 2007 Mid-Continent Conference Indoor Championships, and was named Outstanding Running Performer at the 2009 Horizon League Indoor Championships as she crossed the line first in the 3,000m and 5,000m runs. 

Also a standout on the cross country trails, she was a four-time First Team All-League honoree and was the Horizon League Athlete of the Year in each of her final two seasons, winning the league championship meet both years.  Krupar earned All-Region honors at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional each of her four years – including a third-place finish at the meet her sophomore season – and twice placed in the top-50 at the NCAA Cross Country Championships. 

A 2009 graduate of Valparaiso, Krupar is currently employed as a patient services specialist in the health care field.
