Valparaiso will take on Cleveland State on Friday morning at 9 a.m. CDT in Indianapolis, Ind. in the opening round of the Horizon League Tennis Championships held at North Central High School.
The Crusaders, the tournament’s ninth seed, fell 7-0 to the fourth-seeded Vikings on March 30 in Cleveland during the schools’ regular season match-up. The winner will advance to face the winner of #5 seed Youngstown State and #8 seed Wright State on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. while the loser will face the loser of the Penguins-Raiders contest in the consolation bracket at the same time.
The winner of the Horizon League Championship earns the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
