Valparaiso's Jeff Rickert (Hamilton, Ohio/Fairfield H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Week after hitting .500 in five games over the last seven days.

The fifth-year senior went 8-for-16 with a double, three runs batted in, and six runs scored while registering seven walks. He posted a .652 on-base percentage.

Rickert currently ranks seventh in the Mid-Con hitting .355 on the season and his 21 base on balls is second in the league.
