Steady rains throughout Northwest Indiana on Friday have forced the postponement of the scheduled baseball game between Valparaiso and Butler at Emory G. Bauer Field.

The Crusaders (15-20, 9-6 Horizon) and Bulldogs (19-18, 7-8) will make the game up on Sunday as part of a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m.

Saturday’s game is still scheduled for noon with the Valpo Americans kids’ clinic taking place at 9:30 a.m.  Tyler Deetjen (Saint Charles, Ill./East H.S.) is slated to take the mound for Valpo against Butler’s Dom Silvestri in the series opener.  The Crusaders will then host comedian Bobby Collins at the Athletics-Recreation Center Saturday evening beginning at 7:30 p.m. and tickets will be available at the door.
