Both the Valparaiso men's and women's cross country teams have been awarded U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honors for the 2008 season, as announced today by the USTFCCCA.

Lindsey Gilman (South Bend, Ind./Marian), Laura Rolf (Rochester, Mich./Lutheran Northwest) and Caitlin Sauerhage (Rising Sun, Ind./Rising Sun [Indiana]) were all named to the 11-athlete Horizon League Academic All-League squad for women's cross country, while Chris Honig (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South [Indiana]) received the same recognition on the men's side.

The Valparaiso men's cross country squad closed out the 2008 season Saturday at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in West Lafayette, Ind., finishing in 25th place.
