One of the first standouts on the hardwood for Valparaiso University, Stephanie (Greer) McCalment is one of the top all-around threats ever to put on a Brown and Gold uniform.

The first 1,000-point scorer in school history, McCalment still ranks sixth in school history having scored 1,224 career points.  She holds Valpo’s single game scoring record, having poured in 39 points against Kent State as a senior.

McCalment also ranks among the top 10 all-time at Valpo in field goals made (4th), free throws made (6th), and free throw percentage (7th).  Her defense also made her a constant threat on the court, as she ranks second all-time with 286 career steals, a category she led upon her graduation.  McCalment also ranks among the top 20 all-time in assists, making her truly an all-around player.

As a senior she earned Third Team All-North Star Conference honors while helping the Crusaders set a school record averaging 91.4 points per game as a team.

Since her graduation from Valpo, McCalment was a teacher for eight years and is currently a nursing school student.  She currently resides in West Lafayette, Ind.
