A severe thunderstorm that rolled through Valparaiso on Tuesday afternoon cancelled the Crusaders' game with Indiana just two batters into the contest at Emory G. Bauer Field.

Play was stopped at 3:07 p.m. and an hour later heavy rains prevented the resumption of the contest. The game will not be made up.

Valparaiso (17-31) is schedule to face another Big Ten foe, Purdue, on Wednesday afternoon at Emory G. Bauer Field. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. with all the action carried live on WVUR (95.1-FM, Valparaiso) and online at www.valpo.edu/athletics.
