One of the top distance runners of all-time for the Crusaders, Aaron Crague excelled during both cross country and track and field.

A three-time First Team All Mid-Continent Conference selection in cross country, Crague also earned Indiana All-State honors for the Brown and Gold in 2000. On the trails, he ran the fastest times in school history over both the 8K (24:55) and 10K (31:56.4) distances, times that still hold up today

On the track, Crague was a two-time Mid-Con champion both indoors in the 3,000m and outdoors in the 5,000m. He was recognized as a First Team All Mid-Con selection for these achievements. He holds school marks indoors in both the 3,000m and 5,000m, while also helping set a school mark as a member of the distance medley relay.

Outdoors, Crague is still the school record holder in the 5,000m run as well being a part of the record-setting distance medley and 4x1500m relays.

Since his graduation he has served as the assistant boys cross country coach at Valparaiso High School, where he helped lead the Vikings to a state runner-up finish in 2005.
