Senior Todd Evans was selected as the Mid-Continent Conference Pitcher of the Week after defeating Oral Roberts 3-1 on Sunday.

A righthander from Valparaiso, Ind./HS, Evans was impressive against the Golden Eagles, allowing just an unearned run and six hits in six-plus innings. He struck out three and did not walk a batter, while earning his second win of the season. He escaped a jam in the sixth inning by catching a line drive and doubling a runner off second to end the frame.

Evans is the first Crusader baseball player this season to receive a Mid-Con weekly honor.
