Crusader Squads Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Recognition

Both the Valparaiso men's and women's cross country teams have been awarded U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honors for the 2008 season, as announced today by the USTFCCCA.


Four Crusaders Earn Academic All-League Recognition

Lindsey Gilman (South Bend, Ind./Marian), Laura Rolf (Rochester, Mich./Lutheran Northwest) and Caitlin Sauerhage (Rising Sun, Ind./Rising Sun [Indiana]) were all named to the 11-athlete Horizon League Academic All-League squad for women's cross country, while Chris Honig (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South [Indiana]) received the same recognition on the men's side.


Rolf Earns Horizon League Athlete of the Year Honors

For the second straight year, Valpo senior Laura Rolf (Rochester, Mich./Lutheran Northwest) has been named the Horizon League Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Year. Rolf is the first runner in Crusader cross country history to earn multiple League Athlete of the Year honors.


Rolf Earns All-Region Honors as Valpo Closes Season at Great Lakes Regional

Crusader senior Laura Rolf (Rochester, Mich./Lutheran Northwest) earned All-Region honors for the fourth time in as many years as the Valparaiso women's cross country team closed out its 2008 campaign with a 28th place finish Saturday at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in West Lafayette, Ind.
