"Following a star-studded collegiate career at VU, Garry Puetz played 10 season in the NFL with five teams.

In 1971 and 1972, he was named to the Kodak College Division All-American Team. A three-time All-ICC offensive tackle (also kicker in 1972), he owns the distinction of earning a Super Bowl ring in 1982 with the Washington Redskins. A 12th-round draft choice of the 1973 New York Jets, Puetz played five seasons with the Jets before being acquired by Tampa Bay. He also played briefly with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1979 before signing with New England.

Puetz played baseball for two seasons, hitting .321 each year. Hall of Fame.
