"One of the top hitters in Crusader baseball history, J.J. Swiatkowski was known for his power and his ability to drive in runs.

A three-time All Mid-Continent Conference Team member, he earned First Team honors twice during his career wearing the Brown and Gold. The school's all-time record-holder with 36 career long balls, he ranks among the top five in Mid-Con history in home runs.

Swiatkowski had the talented ability to drive in runs, highlighted by the fact that he set a school mark with 151 RBIs, a mark that ranks among the top ten in conference history as well. A team captain as a senior, the leftfielder also ranks second in career doubles with 51, another mark that is among the all-time top-ten in the Mid-Con.

Swiatkowski was twice named to the Mid-Con All-Tournament Team and is among the top-ten at Valpo for career hits (205), triples (9), runs scored (130), and walks (91) as well.
