Valpo men’s swimming junior Dominic May (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) has been named the Summit League Men’s Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season after some impressive swims last weekend in Valpo’s meet against Evansville.
The Valpo men’s and women’s swimming teams traveled to Indiana State Saturday to compete against the Sycamores and Evansville in their first meet since January 15. Valpo was led by junior Dominic May (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central), who collected an individual win in the 100 free.
The Valpo men’s and women’s swimming teams were named Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA), as announced by the organization this week.

The Valpo men’s and women’s swimming teams hosted Rose-Hulman Friday evening at Valparaiso High School in the season-opening meet. Sophomore Morgan Markley (Bluffton, Ind./Norwell) led the way, winning three individual events and anchoring a team relay win to lead the Brown and Gold women over the Fightin’ Engineers.
The Valpo men’s and women’s swimming teams will kick off the spring 2021 schedule on Friday evening with a home meet against Rose-Hulman, the first of seven scheduled regular season meets as head coach Maggie Kroemer announced the team’s schedule today.
The Valparaiso University athletic department was recognized with 14 members of the men’s swimming and men’s tennis programs earning places on the 2019-2020 Summit League Academic Honor Roll, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.
