Three Crusaders Selected to Horizon League All-Academic Team
Valparaiso University's Toshko Ganzorigt (Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia/Orchlon H.S.), Austin Hunter (La Crescent, Minn./La Crescent H.S.), and Chris Rudolf (Middletown, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick H.S.) were all selected to the Horizon League's All-Academic Team in men's swimming.

Valpo Downs Monmouth, Falls to Western Illinois Saturday
Valparaiso's men's swim team closed the dual meet portion of the 2010-2011 season on Saturday afternoon earning its first victory of the season defeating Monmouth (Ill.) 149-83 in Macomb, Ill. The Crusaders also fell 134-100 to host Western Illinois in double dual meet action.

IUPUI Spoils Senior Day for Crusader Men
Valparaiso's David Sivak (Hobart, Ind./Hobart H.S.) won both individual events he entered and was a part of the Crusaders' winning 400 medley relay on Saturday afternoon but IUPUI spoiled Senior Day with a 116-88 victory over the Brown and Gold at the Athletics-Recreation Center pool.

Sivak Sets Two School Records as Valpo Finishes Third at Butler Invitational
Swimming for the third straight day, Valparaiso earned a third place finish at the Butler Invitational on Sunday afternoon. David Sivak (Hobart, Ind./Hobart H.S.) won his fifth individual event of the weekend, setting a new school record for the Crusaders in the 100 backstroke while also breaking the school mark in the 400 individual medley.

Crusader Men Drop Double Dual in Indianapolis
Valparaiso's men's swim team returned to the water on Friday evening for the first of three straight days of competition, beginning with a double dual meet in Indianapolis. The Crusaders came out on the short end of both meets, falling 63-42 to host IUPUI and 89-24 to Saint Louis at the IUPUI Natatorium.

Open Tryouts for Swim Team Set
The Valparaiso University swimming & diving program will be holding open tryouts for the upcoming season beginning on August 25, head coach Howard Hunte has announced.
