Bowling Continues Music City Classic Saturday
The #19 Valpo bowling team continued its final regular season tournament Saturday, competing on the second of three days of action at the Music City Classic in Smyrna, Tenn. Freshman Kaylee Hodson (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) and sophomore Alexis Roof (Flint, Mich./Kearsley) both posted averages better than 200 on Saturday, while senior Payton Bertermann (Grayslake, Ill./North) rolled the team’s high game of the day with a 235.

Bowling Kicks Off Final Regular Season Tournament
The #19 Valpo bowling team began its final tournament of the regular season on Friday with five-game baker team matches at the Music City Classic in Smyrna, Tenn., hosted by Vanderbilt. Valpo ended the first day of competition — which saw it bowl all five matches against fellow nationally-ranked programs — in 13th place.

The #19 Valpo bowling team kicked off action at the Big Red Invitational on Friday from Lincoln, Neb., finishing the day in ninth place in the team standings. The tournament field is one of the strongest in the nation this year, as seven of the 11 teams are ranked in the top-11 in the nation in the latest NTCA poll.

Freshman Isabella Palamaro (Thiells, N.Y./North Rockland) especially impressed for the Brown and Gold, coming off the bench to average a 215.3 over Valpo’s final three matches of the day.

Valpo Bowling Recognized for Academic Excellence
Six members of the Valpo bowling team earned All-Academic recognition from the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) for the 2019-20 campaign, while Valpo also earned academic honors as a team from the NTCA for the fifth straight season. Valpo Bowling has had at least three bowlers honored each year of the program’s existence.
