Kopfer Caps 4-0 Weekend in Home State on Saturday

For the second straight day, the Valparaiso University women’s tennis team competed in a match that came down to the wire, but this time Valpo came up short in a 5-4 loss to Carleton College in Northfield, Minn. Jordan Kopfer (Eagan, Minn. / Eastview) capped her return to her home state by winning in both singles and doubles on Saturday, finishing a two-match weekend with a combined 4-0 mark in singles and doubles.


Women’s Tennis Team Edges Out Dramatic Win

The Valparaiso University women’s tennis team pulled out a 5-4 victory over Bethel late Friday night in St. Paul, Minn. A lengthy match paid off for Valpo as the team entered the win column for the first time this spring. All five singles matches required three sets to complete.

The Valparaiso University women’s tennis team opened the spring slate on Sunday afternoon with a 7-0 setback at Toledo. Valpo played short-handed in the match with two players sidelined by injuries, including a No. 1 singles injury that caused every player to climb a position in the lineup. Toledo provided a quality opponent as the Rockets went 16-7 overall and 8-1 at home last season.
