Fall 2021: Saw action in seven games.
2019: Had 23 catches for 230 yards, averaging 10.0 yards per reception and 19.2 receiving yards per game… Also had 14 rushes for 60 yards… Had a breakout game on Nov. 9 vs. Morehead State, making nine catches for 78 yards. Both stood as season highs… Became the first Valpo player with nine or more receptions in a single game since 2015.
Vermilion (2018): Had 40 receptions for 600 yards with three touchdowns while earning all-conference, all-division and all-academic honors.
Mount Ida (2017): Earned Honorable Mention ECFC recognition.
Prep: Had 660 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 78 carries as a senior… Made 42 receptions for 620 yards and nine TDs… Also racked up 73 tackles to go along with two interceptions and three sacks… In his career, had 79 catches for 1,180 yards… Was a two-time NEC All-Star, a one-year team captain and was invited to play in two All-Star Games… Also competed in track & field.
Personal: Majoring in criminal justice… Son of Evelyn and Mario Lopez… Has eight brothers – Daniel Lopez, Elliot Lopez, Mario Lopez Jr., Jorge Lopez, Jonathan Montijo, Michael Montijo, Junior Montijo and Richard Montijo – and one sister, Valeria Lopez… Is the second youngest of 10 siblings… Can play the guitar… Has done community service helping out local Pop Warner program while in high school and assisting with local football camps… Has played 11 years of football… Hobbies include fishing, exercising and boxing... Birthday is March 27.
